The lockclip concept grew out of the need for a reliable, fast action connector for cave diving. With its ambidextrous grip and an action that can be used even with thick gloves in nil visibility, lockclip will solve the attachment frustrations of extreme diving.

Replacing the standard stainless or brass dogclip, the lockclip has a number of advantages:

· 1 Positive Closure: the locking pin actually mates with the body of the clip, preventing even lightweight line slipping out of the closure.

· 2 Tensioned Releasable: unlike nearly all other connectors, lockclip can be released while it is weighted. Yet because of its locking action, accidential release is prevented. This feature makes the lockclip very easy to operate in awkward positions or when carrying heavy loads.

· 3 Locking Mechanism: opening the lockclip is a 2-stage action, preventing accidental operation. Its integrated design means that the abrasive underside of the slider found on most standard clips is covered. This is especially important for cave divers, where line can become snagged and even cut.

· 4 Tactile: narrow standard clips are difficult to hold while operating, especially with gloves and cold hands. lockclip is specifically designed to be easy to operate in adverse conditions.

lockclip has a number of other advantages, including strength. Conforming to British and Australian Standards (AS 2227-1992), this clip can withstand static and dynamic loads far in excess of those which a standard dog clip can sustain.

Only the highest quality materials have been used in the lockclip's fabrication. High grade titanium side plates, surgical spec stainless steel springs, rivets and locking pin combine to ensure reliability. Corrosion resistance, durability and longevity are ensured by the lockclip's componentry.
